Baked Tofu & Cauliflower

Serve with a salad.

Serves 4-6 | Prep 10 min | Cooking 50 min – half recipes works well too


What you need:

  • 1 pack of Green Guru Smoked tofu

  • 1 head cauliflower

  • 3 Tbls capers

  • 3 Tbls olive oil

  • 1 ½ tsp Salt

  • ½ lemon

  • 1 Tbls chopped parsley

  • Chili and garlic (optional)


Do the following:

  1. Heat oven to 190°C.

  2. Place the head of cauliflower, top down, into a pot of boiling water. Cook for 5 min, then remove, cut into quarters and place on an oven tray. Coat with 3 Tbls of olive oil and bake for 25 min.

  3. Remove from oven and add the smoked tofu (cut into 10 blocks) and the capers. Baste everything with the olive oil, add more if you need and return to the oven for another 25 min, basting twice.

  4. Chop 2 chilies, 2 cloves of garlic, mix together and add some olive oil (this step is optional, only if you like it hot).

  5. Remove from oven, squeeze half a big lemon over everything, add the chili/garlic and place in a serving bowl, sprinkle with parsley and serve.


Take note:

  1. This can be served with a grain of choice, or polenta, and a salad or coleslaw.

  2. Adding 1 tsp of curry powder when you add the tofu and capers gives it delicious warmth.
